Chapter 908

Ft. Pierce, FL

Welcome to our Chapter

Whether you fly, build, restore or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events and join our chapter.

EAA  #908 is located at the airport (KFPR). Founded in the 1980's, we are a diverse group. Some of us are builders, airplane owners and pilots and many are just airplane enthusiasts.

If you enjoy aviation, you should get to know us. We have one formal meeting on the third Saturday of every month at our club house. You don't have to be a chapter member to come to the meeting, in fact, you don't even have to be an EAA member. Everyone is welcome and there is a big breakfast available ($4). If you fly in you can eat for free!

WEEKLY HANGAR FLYING

In addition to our Monthly meeting, every Saturday morning, we have a light breakfast available ($3) at the clubhouse.  Many members come by just to socialize. There is also a Wednesday morning coffee session in the club house.

ITS ALL HERE

Chapter 908 is a very complete chapter.  In addition to having our own air-conditioned club house, we have a flight simulator, tie downs ($35 a month), and a maintenance hangar available for members to use for annuals and repairs at no charge.

THE FLYING CLUB

Although the EAA prohibits chapters from operating airplanes, there is a long established flying club based at 908.  They have a very nice Piper Archer hangared here that anyone would be proud to fly.  When you come to the meeting be sure to ask to see their plane. Click Here to find out more about the airplane and joining the club.

FLYING IT FORWARD

In the past years, we have flown over 1000 Young Eagles. We do Young Eagles events several times a year and we’ll be doing another Young Eagles event soon. We will be looking for pilots and ground volunteers.

In addition, we are working again with several students from the aviation program at Central High school this summer.  Participants will receive a 10 week ground school and lab program.  If they pass the FAA Private Pilot Written exam, they will get their exam fee paid for by the EAA.
